on the OC: origin story

This week I led a writing circle where we spent time recalling and celebrating younger versions of ourselves and how we’ve grown over time, and then we leaned into imagining what our future selves might be like…

For the previous 3 years, my family has invested substantially to have me in the energy of entrepreneurship with coaches and teachers who helped me learn how to dream up a life of limitless potential for myself. More than anything, these spaces have provided me with a playground to explore what sparks joy for me and to reconcile the limiting beliefs and patterns that have been a recurring presence in my noisy brain for as long as I can remember. The women who’ve been my mentors, showed me how to experiment with building a business when the pieces Jess and I started putting together all fell apart. More than anything, they continue to remind me to DREAM BIG.

In 2026, I’m stepping away from the professional coaches. I’m committed to practicing-the-things and trying-new-things instead of learning-more-things. Rather than relying on professional mentors to guide my way, I’ll be listening more to my heart and trusting my intuition to light the way. And, the best part, I won't be doing any of it alone!

All it took was a friend to say:
“Hey, I feel really called to focus on my overall wellness next year but I know I need accountability with someone else in order to stick to it.”

To which I responded:
“I feel called to get really curious about exploring my own potential but I don’t get very far very fast all by myself.

Together we committed to an experiment and to supporting each other—every Thursday (and some Fridays) in 2026. Our goal: find out what happens when we consistently do the work that is actually required to attain (and maintain) overall wellness for ourselves, with each other. We want to celebrate and cheer each other on every step of the way—BIG & little. And we want to help lift each other up when support is needed to keep the commitment we made to ourselves.

Callie-Mae was clear from the jump: “I think I figured it out. These are the four pillars of life that we need to nourish equally in order to be well and aligned, in order to show up as our brightest, most energized selves in all areas of life. First, in our own life and then in all of our inner-circles (family, besties, staff, communities, etc.).
We got clear on our priorities. These are the four pillars of our outer circle:

  1. My Body
If our body isn’t safe and nourished, nothing else matters.
Cultivating a loving and friendly relationship with my body (despite how it feels or looks) must continue to be a priority. My nervous system requires tending to and I am here to provide what she needs.

  2. My Mindset
When our bodies are nourished and well, we have energy to wisely choose where to focus our time and attention. However, we always have the ability, despite what our bodies might be feeling, to choose a positive, uplifting, and energizing mindset!
And, it’s way easier to maintain positive energy when surrounded by others who are actively choosing not to stay mired in the muck of victimhood and helplessness. As they say, Together We Rise!

  3. My Inner-Child
A life experienced within the constraints of other people’s expectations is simply existing (& often miserable!). To truly live, we have to lean into curiosity (away from fear) and we have to prioritize exploration and play (over productivity and commerce).
It’s natural for many of us, as we age, to grow further and further away from our inner-child. But when we open up the invitation for her to be known, truly magical shifts occur. Curiosity instead of anxiety. Play instead of worry. Adventure over—well, everything else. We are here at this time simply to experience being here amongst the myriad textures of ‘life’.
She not only deserves our time and attention, we have the opportunity as adults to pour into our own inner-child all of the love and attention she ever desired and more!

  4. My "Business"
In quotes because for me, ‘business’ includes everything related to money—where it comes from and where it goes. This is an area that I tend to neglect because it makes me uncomfortable; there never seems to be ‘more than enough’ and I crave the spaciousness of living with way more than enough, with plenty to enjoy and to share generously. To help this dream become a reality, I’m going to court money in 2026 in such a way that it will not be able to resist flowing to and through me with abundance. I trust! Nurturing my relationship with money is a top priority for me in 2026 as is growing my businesses and finding even more creative alignment in the ways I am of service to all beings and our precious planet.

Next year is going to be another grand experiment and I’m even more excited because this time, I’m trusting myself to find MY way, rather than following anyone else.

The Outer Circle accountability community is starting off as an experiment, but we hope it becomes a movement. We hope other women will say “Hey, I love this, can I join you?”

The energy of 1 is mighty.
The energy of 2 is mightier.
The energy of many is unstoppable!
